We’re excited to bring to your attention the upcoming Carlton International Youth Badminton Tournament, scheduled from December 28 to 30, 2023, at our renowned venue.

The individual matches on tournament days 1, 2 and 3 have already garnered a significant number of registrations, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent within our badminton community.

In particular, we wish to highlight the highly anticipated team tournament on the first day of the event, December 28, 2023. The details and structure of the team tournament can be found in Part D: Specific Regulations Team Tournament, available in the registration form for U11, U13, and U15 categories.

The team tournament will span across all age categories of the Carlton International Youth Tournament except U17, including U11, U13 and U15. To secure your spot, please complete the registration process using the attached form by the deadline of December 1, 2023.

We’re optimistic that this year will see an even greater turnout, with numerous teams joining us for an exciting and competitive start of the tournament on the first day.

Another year also brings a new edition of the Carlton International Youth Tournament (CIYT). The last edition of the tournament showed great badminton matches of a high skill level. We hope to build on this and make this year’s tournament even better. Winners of the previous edition have been added to the website www.ciyt.nl. Here you will also find all other information about the tournament and contact details of the tournament staff. Through this email we would like to officially invite you to register and participate in the Carlton International Youth Tournament 2023 (28-30 December). The tournament will be held in and around Hoensbroek. As in previous years, we host U11, U13, U15 and U17. Players eliminated from the main tournament can participate in a double’s tournament during the 3th  day.

As described earlier in our pre-announcement, we will introduce a new format this year. This format will look like this:

December 27: 

Training night and managers meeting 

December 28: 

First day of the U17 tournament 

Team tournament for the categories U11, U13 and U15

December 29: 

Second day of the U17 tournament 

First day of the U11, U13 and U15 tournament 

December 30: 

Finals day of the U11, U13, U15 and U17 tournaments 

Doubles tournament 

Furthermore, we would like to inform you that from this year onwards, the payment of registration fees can only be done via our tournament website www.ciyt.nl . Payments must be received before the start of the tournament. More information can be found in the registration form. If there are any questions after reading the registration form, you can always contact the tournament organization.

We are proud to announce the first information about the Carlton International Youth Tournament 2023.

We are pleased to announce the 2023 edition of the Carlton International Youth Tournament. The event is one of the most prestigious youth badminton tournaments in Europe, providing young athletes with the opportunity to showcase their skills and participate in exciting badminton matches. This year, we are introducing a completely new format for the tournament.

We are excited to announce that the U17 category will once again be part of the Carlton International Youth Badminton Tournament and will be included in the BEC Europe Circuit this year. This means that participants can earn points for their national rankings and qualify for participation in other BEC events. Furthermore, the U17 category has been expanded to 3 days this year, allowing for more participants to be admitted and providing participants with more playing time, while fans can enjoy more great badminton matches.

To make this possible, we will be making some changes to our tournament format as follows:

December 27th:

Training evening and manager meeting

December 28th:

1st day of U17 tournament

Team tournament for the U11, U13, and U15 categories

December 29th

2nd day of U17 tournament

1st day of U11, U13, and U15 tournament

December 30th:

Final day of U11, U13, U15, and U17 tournaments

Doubles tournament / Losers tournament
